CYNIC To Perform At UCLA With PUBLIC ENEMY, Members Of WU-TANG CLAN

February 1, 2014

Psychedelic metal band CYNIC will perform at Free & Equal Elections Foundation's upcoming United We Stand Festival, happening May 10 at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion. Headliners include PLAYING FOR CHANGE, PUBLIC ENEMY and founders of the WU-TANG CLAN.

Free & Equal Elections Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-partisan, non-profit organization, whose mission is to create open and transparent elections that shifts power back to the individual voter. Free & Equal will encourage, educate and empower voters (especially the youth) to unite, run for political office as Independents and help reform the electoral system.

Free & Equal hosted the 2012 open presidential debates moderated by Larry King and FE founder Christina Tobin. All six top presidential candidates were invited. Real issues ignored by the mainstream debates were discussed: The Patriot Act, NDAA, NSA, war on drugs, drones, foreign policy/war, GMO foods, Internet freedom, election reform, and more. Those who participated in the October debate represented the Libertarian, Green, Justice and Constitution parties. The debates were broadcast worldwide on C-SPAN, MSNBC, CNN Radio, RT America, Al Jazeera, as well as live on OraTV, YouTube, and the Free & Equal web site, with an estimated viewing audience of 20 million! These debates provided a chance for millions of young people to become educated and involved — and they loved it!

Free & Equal is continuing that momentum to end the stranglehold of the two-party system with the United We Stand Festival. Dr. Ron Paul stated that in order for revolutionary changes to occur, you would need young people and music. Ralph Nader points out that real leaders create more leaders, not followers. The United We Stand Festival is about creating peaceful, positive, and constructive solutions and actions to create a better world. It incorporates education, awareness, activism, the arts, spirituality, ecology, and more, to create a more peaceful, free, prosperous, and harmonious world.

Speakers include Chuck D and Professor Griff of PUBLIC ENEMY, New York Times bestselling author Marianne Williamson, David Bronner (CEO, Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps),Sean Stone (son of Oliver Stone, host of "Buzzsaw"),Cindy Sheehan, Sabrina Fendrick of NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws),Dr. Jill Stein, Gov.
